Not sure whether an assessment is right for you?

Our free screening test takes about five minutes. It cannot diagnose ADHD, but it will help you decide whether to take the next step.

Common questions about ADHD

ADHD is a recognised neurodevelopmental condition affecting attention, organisation, restlessness and impulse control. It begins in childhood, though many people are not identified until adulthood — often when the demands of work, study or parenting outgrow the coping strategies that had been carrying them.

The question worth asking is not whether you recognise some of the symptoms — most people do — but whether the pattern has been there since childhood, shows up in more than one part of your life, and is genuinely getting in the way. Our free screening test is a five-minute way to think that through before committing to anything. Our article on everyday adult ADHD symptoms gives examples from work, home and relationships.

If you are asking about your child, our parents' guide explains how ADHD signs show at home and at school.

No. Coaching and therapy can help you manage the difficulties whether or not you have a diagnosis. A diagnosis matters when you need access to medical treatment, or formal evidence for adjustments at work or in education.
